Helps seal the mouth and nose area, keeping fresh air in and unwanted fumes out.  Best used in conjunction with Sidewinder fresh air systems.  Also help prevent fogging.

Positioned under the chin bar, the soft Nomex fabric helps seal the area under the chin, preventing airflow from entering the base of the helmet to combat the lifting effect.  Helps prevent dust and debris from entering the helmet, reduces noise and improves microphone pickup.
